Automatic Transmission License

Automatic transmission license was a dream for those who had difficulty driving manual transmission vehicles before the law passed on 01.01.2016. Automatic transmission is no longer a dream. The era of forcing people who would not drive any other vehicle other than automatic transmission to obtain a manual transmission vehicle license has thus come to an end.

What is an automatic transmission driving license?

Only trainees who will use automatic transmission vehicles will have a certificate labeled automatic transmission in accordance with the type of certificate they will receive and can only use automatic transmission vehicles. In order to be able to use a manual vehicle, they must take differential lessons and retake the driving test, and their license will be converted to a normal type license.

How to get an Automatic Transmission Driving License?

You will apply for a Class B license with an automatic transmission and receive your training according to this transmission type. Then, you will take the Driving test with an automatic transmission vehicle. When you pass all the exams, the word automatic will appear on your license and you will drive an automatic transmission vehicle with your automatic transmission license.

Can I switch to Manual later?

The Automatic Transmission Driving License, which has been requested for many years by trainees who drive automatic vehicles and do not want to drive another vehicle, can now be given in all classes by adding the phrase “Can drive automatic vehicles” to the certificate. In addition, if you need it later, you can switch to a manual transmission vehicle license after passing the driving training and exams.

Do you recommend automatic or manual transmission?

Automatic transmission vehicles are easier to use. Being able to shift to “D” and easily accelerate will make your job easier in the driving test. You no longer have to use a manual transmission even though you will never use it. There is no longer the problem of getting used to the clutch.
